Shared Services MA – Powerful Tools and Resources to Build Community – The Reggio Way with United Way

Inspired by the collective and collaborative support that the municipal schools in Reggio Emilia offer, this workshop provides ideas for connected networks in our context.
Committed to improving quality through building community, United Way brings a powerful, cutting-edge, national Shared Services model to Greater Boston. This seminar will explore this model including tools and resources that will help anyone looking to build upon and improve their Reggio practices.
Stimulate your thinking about how to build partnerships, create time and space for support, utilize local resources and further explore Reggio pedagogy with a focus on engaging families. Meet new colleagues, network, ask questions and exchange ideas.

Melinda Weber is Program Director of Shared Services MA. She holds a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration from Nichols College, a Masters in Finance from Boston College and a Masters in Early Childhood Education from Lesley University. With close to 20 years’ experience in early childhood education as a teacher and administrator, Melinda has a strong understanding of the challenges unique to the Early Childhood industry. Prior to her work in Early Education, she held financial analyst positions in high tech and engineering firms. Melindacombines her work in early childhood and finance to deliver business coaching to both center-based and family child care owners/administrators in the cities of Boston, Cambridge and Somerville. She is an annual presenter at the Building Stronger Centers Conference sponsored by the Children’s Investment Fund.
